Europe was at the centre of the reflection by Card. Angelo Bagnasco, CCEE President, and Card. Jean-Claude Hollerich, COMECE President, during the joint workshop organised by the two European bodies.
Many people crowded the pavilion of the Hungexpo in Budapest, where many of the initiatives of the 52nd International Eucharistic Congress took place, to listen to the two prelates talk about “Eucharist, evangelisation and social commitment in Europe”.
Also treated was the centrality of the Eucharist, the responsibility of social commitment, fraternity and subsidiarity, respect for different cultures, but also the migratory, ecological and identity crisis.
