Areas of work

CCEE is at the service of the Church in Europe to promote collaboration and effective communion among the Bishops and Bishops' Conferences of the continent.The CCEE is committed to the New Evangelisation and offers its support to all structures of the Church involved in this mission. The  CCEE encourages initiatives aimed at witnessing the faith and truth of the Gospel throughout the continent, in order to embrace the people and communities present in Europe.

Together with other International and European Institutions, the CCEE actively participates in debates in the various social and ecclesial fields to promote respect for human rights founded in an anthropology that recognises the dignity of the person created in the image and likeness of God.

Through its regular meetings (links), the activity of its commissions (hyperlink) or special working groups (hyperlink), but also with its position (hyperlink), the CCEE is engaged in the following pastoral, social and themes: legal affairs, catechesis, Christian charity, the Church in the Holy Land, social communications, culture, interreligious dialogue, ecumenism, education, ethics, Europe, the family, justice and peace, religious freedom, new evangelisation, migration and refugees; youth ministry, school pastoral care, university pastoral care, vocation ministry, the promotion of life, social issues and the protection of creation.
