From Ash Wednesday and throughout the Lenten Season, the Bishops’ Conferences of Europe celebrated Holy Mass to invoke a just and sustainable peace, especially for Ukraine and the Holy Land.
The Lenten initiative, called the “Eucharistic Chain”, involved all 39 members of the CCEE, who, through the Eucharistic celebration, surrounded the entire European Continent with the embrace of the Church, as a real sign of communion, hope and faith in the invincible power of the Eucharist to implore from God the end of the war and the gift of true peace.
